Inductis is a global advisory firm that helps large companies become more competitive by transforming their businesses through consulting and analytics, since 2000. Inductis earned $20 million in revenue in the year 2005 from its offices in New York, New Jersey, New Delhi and Singapore. Inductis India became our largest office by the end of 2005. Inductis merged with EXL (Nasdaq: EXLS) in June 2006. The combined entity closed 2006 with $121.8 million in revenue (2007 G: $170 million). Inductis Finance and Investment Analytics (FIA) helps buy-side institutions (e.g. Private Equity firms and Hedge Funds) make better financing and investing decisions, as well as manage the risk in their portfolios.
Position Description
Role: Lead Analyst, Finance and Investment Analytics
Client Management
- Manage a client revenue stream, from end-to-end. Revenue stream typically comprises a series of unstructured projects.
- Drive construction of the solution / recommendations / advice and preparation of deliverables. Take ownership for quality, accuracy and timeliness.
- Independently lead problem solving for ‘clients’
- Lead structuring of the problem, approach and hypothesis formulation.
- Drive client meetings and conference calls.
- Drive data collection and analysis.
Work Content: Examples
- Qualitative investment advisory
- Target assessment (company, industry, etc.)
- Business plans, financing plans, etc.
- Thematic investing, e.g. which companies are going to benefit from improvement in road infrastructure in China?
- Financial modelling
- Structure and build financial models from scratch
- Run, check and improve existing financial models
- Drive secondary and primary research for model inputs and assumptions
Team Management
- Talent management: mentoring, coaching and motivating highly demanding professionals.
- Help team members become more effective through skill-enhancing guidance and coaching
- Conduct appraisals of Senior Financial Analysts (FAs) and FAs in the team. Provide upward feedback.
Practice Leadership
- Participate in BD, manage client counterparts, help grow existing relationships.
- Capability development
- Conceptualise new services to address client needs
- Develop and deliver effective training to build new capabilities demanded by clients in the team
- Participates in recruiting (visiting campuses, taking interviews, etc.)

Requirements
Education
- MBA in finance from a top 10 business school.
- MBA class of 2003 preferred. Classes of 2002 and 2004 may also be considered.
- Preferred but not required:
- Undergraduate degree in finance / accounting
- Consistent record of academic excellence (marks, ranks, etc.) and intellectual prowess (awards won, high percentiles in CAT, GMAT, etc.)
Experience
- 4 (±1) years of relevant experience in financial analytics or consulting.
- Expertise in:
- Solving open-ended, ambiguous problems for clients under time pressures.
- Financial analyses.
- At least 1 year in managing clients and teams.
- Some exposure to offshore delivery
Position: Engagement Manager

Inductis LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of EXL Service is seeking an Engagement Manager for its Jersey City, New Jersey office to lead a team of professionals charged with resolving complex business problems including reengineering and sourcing studies. Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning for clients in a variety of business sectors with a focus on financial sectors. Direct team members in gathering and synthesizing information on problems and procedures and develop financial models and analyses.
Organize findings to prepare recommendations for the implementation of new business systems, procedures and organizational changes. Work closely with senior client management and other personnel to assure smooth and effective implementation of recommended solutions and manage client teams to meet study objectives. Will also continue to structure complex memoranda, reports and presentations, both oral and written. Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; $150,000 per year.
Candidate profile
Master of Science degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field plus one year of management analysis experience in: (1) working with complex data structures and large datasets in a real business setting and (2) marketing and risk analytics for business development and finance.
