Management Consulting

Inductis consultants enjoy a wide variety of long and short-term projects working with our Fortune 500 clients to solve business problems. Each project is unique and requires rigorous analysis and creative problem-solving ability. Recent college graduates enter at the Business Analyst level. New hires with significant previous work experience or a non-business Master’s degree usually enter as Junior Associates, while recent MBA grads enter as Associates. Regardless of where an Inductis consultant starts, all are promoted based on individual ability and achievement.

Team Approach
A typical Management Consulting engagement team includes a Principal, an Engagement Manager, and two to three Associates and Analysts. Select engagements which require extensive data handling and analytics may also include Modelers.

The Principal is responsible for project oversight and client relationship management, while the Engagement Manager structures and supervises the team's day-to-day work. Associates and Analysts directly support the Engagement Manager and play pivotal roles in project research, data analysis and client communications. When included in a Management Consulting team, Modelers leverage their analytic and modeling skills to help convert large sets of complex data into actionable and valuable client insights.
 
Lead Project Manager  
Lead Project Managers generate and deliver business insight, are the primary client contact, lead project teams, and own end-to-end project planning & execution. Lead Project Manager leads teams of 2-4 consultants in all aspects of project execution. They are a primary client day-to-day contact and ensure client needs are defined and met. They play a critical role in defining the problem, structuring the solution, and executing against it. They also provide thought leadership and delivers business insights to identify and resolve complex issues critical to their clients’ success. They interact regularly with senior Inductis partners and clients to ensure project is meeting its objectives. They also synergistically leverage multiple projects and teams. Lead Project Managers actively contribute to business development and to attracting, retaining, developing, and motivating a team of diverse and qualified staff.
 
Requirements:
MBA from a top business school
3-5 years of pre-MBA experience and 4-5 years of post-MBA experience, preferably management consulting; analytics experience is a strong plus
Experience in the areas of building statistical (SAS) models for predicting customer behavior based on observed behavioral data is desired.
Experience working with complex data structures and large datasets in a real business setting is highly desirable
Functional experience in marketing and risk analytics, strategy, project management, cost reduction, organizational
restructuring/transformation, operations, sales, business development, marketing, finance
Demonstrated leadership ability, superior problem solving and people management skills

Excellent presentation and written communication skills

 
Associate / Project Manager
Associates are responsible for interacting with clients in order to understand their specific business issues, performing detailed analysis of these problems, and formulating appropriate solutions. Seasoned associates assume responsibilities for client relationship and project management.
Requirements:

MBA or other graduate degree from top academic institution
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
1-3 years experience, preferably in management consulting or the financial services industry

Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to take initiative

Junior Associate / Assistant Project Manager
Junior Associates play a critical role developing hypotheses and validating them based on analysis of client data, external research and communications with client teams. They also present findings to working-level client teams and help develop communications for senior management. Junior Associates typically grow into the Associate role, where they start taking independent ownership of all aspects of a client deliverable including data gathering, analysis and communication development.
Requirements:
Master's degree in economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, operations research or related areas are preferred; candidates with BA/BS degrees from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
1-2 years of consulting, banking, or similar analytical backgrounds preferred.
Strong record of achievement, solid analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work.
Outstanding communications skills.
Business Analyst / Analyst  
Analysts are integral to the Inductis consulting team, performing key support functions that utilize their analytical skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. Experienced Analysts begin to develop their problem solving as well as client relationship skills.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from top-tier academic institution with strong record of achievement. Desired areas of study include (but not limited to) Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics and various Engineering disciplines.
Solid analytical skills and an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to work.
Outstanding communication skills.
Modeler 
Modelers play a key role in statistical modeling, modeling methodology design and selecting the appropriate modeling tool to solve a given problem. As a Modeler, you will perform statistical and microeconomic research, developing modeling approaches to solve specified business problems. You will conduct all aspects of the modeling exercise, including profiling, variable treatment, exploratory model building, refining and validating.

Opportunities are available at 3 levels (Senior Modeler / Modeler / Junior Modeler) based on years of relevant experience and academic credentials.
Requirements:
Junior Modeler: Bachelors or Masters in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Modelers: PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or Masters in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Senior Modelers: PhD / Masters in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in the areas of building statistical models for predicting customer behavior based on observed behavioral data is desired.
Experience in working with complex data structures and large datasets in a real business setting will be valuable.
